Job Title: Corporate Regulatory and Risk Reporting QA Consultant

Job Description: Wells Fargo’s Regulatory and Risk Reporting Quality Assurance (RRRQA) function is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team to contribute to the Company’s efforts in maintaining a program to test the accuracy and the completeness of the Company’s external regulatory filings. RRRQA is a control function within the Corporate Controllers division and serves as a critical component of our Governance & Oversight processes over Regulatory Reporting. The team has enterprise-wide exposure to lines of business and the external financial reporting infrastructure. This individual will be a key member of the Corporate RRRQA Testing Team responsible for the design, execution and continuous improvement of a QA program around regulatory reporting. The QA program will assist management in enhancing the control environment around regulatory reporting production by providing an independent assessment of data accuracy and completeness within reports prepared, as well as timeliness of reports filed. This position reports directly to the Manager of the Corporate RRRQA function.

Specific responsibilities/duties will include:
• Performing a risk assessment within the areas of focus and designing risk-based tests to evaluate accuracy and completeness of reporting in those areas
• Executing testing work under the supervision of the Corporate RRRQA Manager
• Maintaining related documentation, including test plans, scoping narratives and test workpapers
• Documenting issues identified during testing and working with the stakeholders across lines of business to conduct root cause analysis and to facilitate remediation
• Preparing summaries of test results and findings and drafting reports
• Developing and maintaining product and process knowledge in the areas of focus and providing leadership to the broader team based on that expertise
• Assisting in designing, maintaining and enhancing QA program’s approach, process, methodology, tools and related documentation
• Promoting increased awareness of regulatory reporting requirements with stakeholders through on-going communication, guidance and training
• Supporting continuous improvement of the QA program by developing effective relationships with stakeholders, applying lessons learned and proactively collaborating with other governance functions

Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: accounting, regulatory reporting, public accounting or audit experience in financial services
• General understanding of bank regulatory reporting requirements (ex. familiarity with the FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031/041 Call Report, FFIEC 009 and FR 2900)
• Proven experience with relationship building and collaboration with stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy, experience with data analysis tools and techniques
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate flexibility and drive change
• Ability to deliver results while dealing with ambiguity
• Experience in Corporate Regulatory and/or Financial Reporting

Desired Qualifications
• Big 4 (Public Accounting) experience
• BA/BS in Accounting or related field
• CPA, CISA, CIA, CFA certification
• Experience preparing or auditing bank regulatory or other financial/risk reports
